I provide psychotherapy for couples, families, individual adults and adolescents. I practice through client collaboration from a holistic and integrated care approach. I truly believe in a mind-body connection and utilize yoga philosophy from my training as a Registered Yoga Teacher and mindfulness training into my work. It is through mindfulness I find clients are able to connect with themselves and others in a more compassionate way that allows for empowerment and balance.
From a client-centered approach I value the strengths of the individual and help guide them to build upon those attributes to create change in their lives. My clinical experience includes CBT, ACT, Mindfulness for Couples, and I am also trained in EMDR. I work with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, marital/family distress, infidelity, grief/loss, difficult life transitions and other issues. I am honored everyday by the strength it takes for one to enter therapy and do the hard work to make their life better.
I earned my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a certificate in Medical Family Therapy from East Carolina University. I have worked in clinical and integrated health care settings and believe in a holistic approach to treatment. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
